Membership Criteria

COCA membership is open to any outpatient cardiac cath lab that meets the membership criteria.  Membership belongs to the cath lab facility, although the number of participants per facility is not limited.

To qualify for membership, a facility must be:

  • a non-hospital outpatient cath lab (billing through Medicare Part B);
  • accredited or agree to become accredited within two years through JCAHO or AAAHC and maintain accreditation;
  • willing to participate in quality data collection and reporting through an approved independent source approved by the COCA membership (such as the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR);
  • pay annual membership dues as determined by the COCA Board (currently $2,000)

While not a requirement, we encourage all members to make a contribution the COCA Legal Action Fund to help support our legal efforts and representation to Congress, CMS, and other healthcare agencies, payers, and organizations.
